Broken Link Checker

Check every link on a page and list the ones that fail.

Public pages only. Toolspea fetches the page for you because a browser tab cannot read another origin directly — nothing you enter is stored.

What is Broken Link Checker?

Broken Link Checker fetches a public page, extracts the links it contains, then requests each one and reports the HTTP status. Links that return an error status or cannot be reached are grouped separately so you can fix them.

How to use it

  1. 1Paste the page whose links you want to test.
  2. 2Run the check — links are requested one by one.
  3. 3Review the broken list first, then the working links.
  4. 4Fix or remove the failing URLs in your CMS.

Features

  • Checks internal and external links from a single page
  • Reports the HTTP status and any redirect hops
  • Separates hard failures from healthy responses

When people use it

Content maintenance

Run it over an old article before re-promoting it to catch dead references.

Pre-launch QA

Confirm a new landing page has no typo'd or placeholder links.

Known limits

  • Links are checked from Toolspea's fetcher, so sites that rate-limit automated traffic can report a false failure.
  • A capped number of links per run keeps the check fast; check long pages in sections.
