What is File Format Converter?

File Format Converter decodes each selected image with the browser's own codecs and re-encodes it into the format you pick, optionally resizing on the way. It handles batches and returns either individual downloads or a single ZIP.

How to use it

  1. 1Select any number of images.
  2. 2Choose the target format, quality and optional width cap.
  3. 3Wait for the batch to finish converting.
  4. 4Download the ZIP or grab individual files.

Features

  • Batch conversion with per-file size reporting
  • WebP, JPEG and PNG output
  • Optional resize with aspect ratio kept
  • Strips EXIF, including GPS, as a side effect

When people use it

Migrating an image library

Convert a folder of PNG exports to WebP before uploading them to a CMS.

Preparing email assets

Some clients still reject WebP; batch-convert back to JPEG in one pass.

Known limits

  • Input formats are limited to what your browser can decode — HEIC support varies by platform.
